Chairs & Makers is a furniture exhibition by designer and interior architect Timo Mikkonen, bringing together the finest expertise in Finnish design and craftsmanship at Hotel Torby in Fiskars Village from 28 June to 30 July 2026. The exhibition is open daily from 9 pm to 10 pm.
The exhibition theme, The Comfort of Being, explores comfort through the form of the armchair, highlighting the expertise, traditions, and contemporary high-quality craftsmanship of Finland’s leading artisans.
The exhibition chairs have been created by fine carpenters Heikki Aska and Tommi Alatalo, together with upholstery professionals Jari Salo and Tuija Santti from Adea Oy.
Other key project partners include Adea Oy, the Finnish Furniture Foundation, Onoma, Fiskars Village Biennale, and Hotel Torby.
